This month, Vans opened the doors to its first Vault by Vans pop-up boutique retail space on the Lower East Side in New York City. First established in 2003, Vault by Vans represents the brand’s commitment to pinnacle product design, told through the lens of heritage, art, craftsmanship and street culture. As the most aspirational creative expression of Vans, the Vault by Vans category is the brand’s platform to create and execute rich, culturally-connected stories and activate Vans through its premium collaborators and exclusive partnerships.
“Being in one of the fashion capitals of the world, New York is a great place to roll out the first Vault by Vans store,” said Stephen Mills, Vans’ VP of Global Footwear Product Merchandising. “New York embodies an eccentric culture and art scene, and through Vault by Vans, we can provide an outlet to further ignite creative expression.”
The new store aims to support and engage the local community through unique events and activations over the coming months. Vans is empowered by connecting people and communities through art, and the new pop-up is a commitment to this philosophy.
In February, Vans partnered with Modernica to unveil an exclusive capsule of footwear and furniture – all of the pieces are featured in the new Vault by Vans store. To celebrate the pop-up boutique, Vans will collaborate with revered arts and culture magazine, Juxtapoz, for a special partnership in the upcoming months.
