Ryan Friedlinghaus is the founder and CEO of West Coast Customs, the world’s premier custom car shop, touting an impressive array of services ranging from performance upgrades and extraordinary designs to fabrication, paint, interiors and electronics, and most recently the wildly popular shop has been featured weekly on MTV’s Pimp My Ride; as well as this past season’s Street Customs on TLC. Tinkering and taking things apart and rebuilding them since the age of 2, Ryan started actual custom work as a young teen by tricking out skateboards and bikes for his friends and neighborhood kids. About the same time, Ryan also became very specific about his footwear - wearing ONLY Vans, year after year! Today, Southern California’s custom car phenomenon, West Coast Customs, employs more than 30people, is housed in a state-of-the-art 25,000 square foot facility and has grown into a multi-national, multi-million dollar corporation that is helmed by a CEO who still wears his Vans daily!
